Giles BARNEY b. 1725, Newport, Rhode Island. Descendant of Jacob Barney?

I'm searching for the parents of Giles BARNEY born abt. 1725 in Newport, Rhode Island. He married Tabitha DRING on 15 Nov 1750 in Little Compton, RI. He died Feb 1783 (probably) in Newport, RI. Giles and Tabitha seem to have had at least 4 children, Sarah, Hannah, Mary and David. Daughter Mary (b. abt. 1757 in Newport) may have married Ambrose CLEVELAND (1755-1840) of Freetown, MA.
I'm a bit confused when it comes to descendants of Jacob BARNEY and I'm trying to figure out if Giles is a descendant. His father may have been Israel BARNEY, a descendant of Jacob's, and possible husband of a Mary DRING.
If anyone can provide info on Giles or his possible father Israel BARNEY please let me know. Israel may have been a son of Israel, who may have been a son of Jacob.
