To All: I believe that my line comes from the John Barnhill/Elizabeth Flemming Barnhill line. It shows John moving to Pitt County about 1755 from Virginia. My line, I think comes from one of John's grandsons, Alexander. John (John/Elizabeth's son?) shows up in New Hanover County in 1800. His sons, including Alexander, appear along the Black River area of what is now Bladen County thereafter.
A Stan Barnhill told me of the John Barnhill/Elizabeth Flemming connection and gave me some info on where he got his information. I have misplaced the documentation he gave me.

Seems we are all COUSINS if my information is correct.
