Hi Don, this was one of our last communications. Since I sent this message to you we have made some serious inroads into our mysterious Julius. We finally found out that he came to the US with his mother and step father. The immigration records were in his step father's name, so that is why we could never locate his family. He did come to the US with his mother and a sister, Wilhelmine who also went by the Barnick name. If your cousin would like to hear more please let me know.

Hi Don,

Thanks for the information on Kaiser and Monica. Kaiser was my mother's brother. Monica was a wonderful woman. They lived in Nortonville when I was a child and I use to see them quite alot. Kaiser took over my grandma's store in Nortonville when she was in her 70's. Monica and Kaiser had three children that lived. Judy, who was a few years younger than I am died about 5 or 6 years ago. Bill is still living I am not sure about the youngest Betsy.

I have another connection to the Crist family. Monica's brother Vincent Crist married my cousin Dolores Johnson(who was the oldest daughter of Alice Barnick (Kaiser's sister). Dolores and Vince Christ had about 4 kids I think. Vicky, Diane and then a couple of boys I believe. They divorced many years ago but Dolores is still living in Jamestown, ND and I just saw her last year when I was there for the Barnick reunion which we have every couple of years in Jud. Out of a family of 8 children, William Julius Barnick and Orianna Miracle Barnick have 2 children who are still living - my aunt Ilene Wolff (Jud) and aunt Ethel Hanson (Devils Lake).

I am somewhat stumped on the father of William Julius Barnick (who was my grandfather). His name was Julius and he was born in Germany or Prussia - Mitschow is where his letter of Intention says. Of course, it does not exist anymore and he was not literate, so I am not sure if the name is spelled correctly. I have never been able to find out who his parents were.

If you need any information on the Barnicks and the names, dates and places of birth of any of Monica's or Vincent's children I will be happy to send you the information. I am in the middle of a move right now so do not have access to my genealogy at this time as I am changing internet providers too.
