Re: Felix Barr or Lawrence Barr
Hello
I have a picture of Lawrence Barr alongside his brothers Nicolas and John taken around 1900. John Barr is my great grandfather so I guess we truly are distant cousins.
Here is some information that was given to me from another relative who is from Lawrence's brother Nicolas lineage.
She says: "I think it was taken around 1900 -- Lawrence must have come to New York state from Washington State to visit. He was the youngest (5 1/2 when they came from Germany to the US). Nicholas (my line) was about 15 when they came, and John (your line) was the youngest of those whos tayed in Germany when the parents & younger sons cameto the US. He came 3 or 4 years later, went toSyracuse area, met & married Mary Casenovia, & theycame to Barton/Nichols area about 1851. His son John,Jr. married Abiah Washburn, had several children, including William, Ivan, John & Niles. (after Abiahdied he married Mary Barr Primrose"
Hope this helps, although most of the information follows John Barr's lineage. Anything you have to share would be appreciated.
Warm Regards,
Candace Barr Meyer
