Britton O. Barr is the oldest son of William Barr c.1800 and Dayley Walters of Gates County North Carolina. His older half brother's mother was Leah Wilkins. His younger brothers are Isaac 1802, James W. 1804, Nancy 1805, and John Wright 1811. This information comes from a William's 1823 will that names his children. William and Isaac moved to Monticello, Jasper County Georgia. Britton moved back to Nansemond County Virginia to his grandfathers place, John Barr. Later he joined with the rest of the family in Jasper County Georga. William and Isaac moved on to Monticello, Pike County Alabama. Britton stayed in Jasper until 1860 where he appears on the Jasper County Census. I do not know where he moved after that. Please fill me in. What Monticello are you indicating because there is one in Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi coincidently?
