Your connection of Britton sisters to the Odom brothers connects again to the idea of a larger community living connected together by family, church and other means. One thing that I have thought about but have not explored is names of the people that migrated from Nansemond County Virginia and Gates County North Carolina to Jasper County Georgia and then to Pike County Alabama. Isaac Barr's son Umphrey Griffin Barr is named after one of John and William Barr's neighbor Humphrey Griffin. Umphrey married Daily Walters, William Walters daughter. William was also a neighbor. I believe that this group had community together but I do not know the nature, extent, or duration of it.
