NEW LIBERTY, Iowa -- Robert N. Barr, 77, New LIBERTY, died Sunday, Oct. 20, 2002, at his home.
Memorial services are at Peace United Church of Christ, Bennett, with a gathering to follow at the church. Weerts Funeral Home, Davenport, is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Barr was born on Dec. 11, 1924, in Muscatine, the son of Robert and Myrle Shellabarger Barr. He married Sylvia E. Brookhart on Feb. 24, 1946, in Muscatine.
He was an electrical engineer with 3E, Des Moines, for 15 years.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps.
Survivors include his wife; sons, Stephen C. Barr and his wife, Yvonne, of Des Moines and Mark A. Barr and his wife, Robbin, of New Liberty; three grandchildren; and a sister, Marilyn J. Gound of Canyon Lake, Texas
