Surnames: Barrera
Hola Cousins: My grandmother was a Barrera from Ceralvo, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Her name was Tomisita (Thomasita/Tomasita), born 29 DEC,1889 - died, 18 APR 1965 in Salida, Colorado. Siblings: Roque (1897-1974), Ramon (lived in Los Angeles and was a fabulous chef), and Petra, who lived near Brownsville Texss, her son lived in Chicago.

I always thought her maiden name was Tomasita Barrera de Ibarra (or Ybarra), but another family tree shows her mother as Labrada Gonzales, though without source data.

I understand her father, a landowner near Ceralvo, was hung by Caranza in the Mexican Civil War, when he refused to give Caranzas army, guns and horses.

I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has information on her family and ancestors. Marilyn
