He has three great grand children in california. There names are Roschelle, Maria, and Mando Jr. Their father *Mando Montez Barriga) has made no attempts to see his children nor have I stopped him. Have him message me if he wants any information on his first born children..

Gloria, my family lived and worked the mines in Metcalf, AZ. Most of my aunts and uncles and father were born in Metcalf. My grandfather and grandmother settled in Metcalf in the early 1900's. My grandfater's name is Martin Barriga, he came from Chihuahua. I am not familar with your familys surname.

Frederick, my grandparents (Martin & Felicana Barriga) came to the US in the late 1800's, they came through El Paseo, Tx and settled in southern Arizona. Where most of my aunts and uncles and father were born, (Metcalf, AZ.) My grandparents family came from the mountain area of Chihuahua, Mex.

Family originally from Michoacan, Mexico. The place is La Puerta de Vargas, Rancho El Coliseo. My grandfather name: Jesus Barriga, my father Leonardo Barriga arrived in Mexicali, Baja California in the spring of 1942. I presently reside in Arizona.

Hi,

My G-granfather & granfather worked in the Metcalf Az mines.
The family appears in the 1920 census. The last name is Camargo, family members were Ceveriano, Maria Natividad and Anastacio. Do you have any knowledge of them? They/we are also from Chihuahua.

Hola, Gerardo. My grandfather was Luis Barriga Calderon from La Piedad, Michoacan. I believe their family was from Zamora. There were three brothers: Ambrosio, J. Refugio, and Luis. Their parents were Ramon Barriga and Vicenta Calderon. Maybe you or your family knows of my family. My grandfather was born around 1894 and he was the youngest of the three. I still have relatives in Michoacan and Jalisco. Good luck with your research and I hope to hear from you.

I spoke to my mother, Belia, about reconstructing the history of my dad's family and she's going to help. Tia Carolina knows alot but I speak limited Spanish and she speaks no English. Have you been doing any research on our surname and history? My boyfriend Christo inspired me. He is part Pima Indian and knows alot about his family in Phoenix Arizona. He asked me what tribe I was a part of and I said I knew hardly anything about my dad's side, who looks more Indian than my mom's side. But it's such a curious thing, I decided to go online and start the process.

Well, hello cousin. Yes, your father was my tio Raúl whom I remember very well. You probably don't remember me; I barely remember you except by name. My father (83 yrs. old and in good health) is your tio Fernando. I was able to visit tia Griselda & her family when I went to Guadalajara in 1992. This is so cool. One of my deceased uncles (half-brother to my father) was born in Guadalajara. It was a large family, my father being the eldest, and the youngest (my aunt) still residing in Guadalajara. Maybe we are cousins???

Francisco (Chico) R. Barriga, age 86, beloved and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother was called by the Lord our Savior to His heavenly home, the early morning of Wednesday, December 3, 2003. Francisco was a resident of Meadow Lake, NM formerly of Presidio, TX. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Army; and was a past member of the Disabled American Veterans in San Antonio, TX. He was preceded in death by two children, Jose and Georginia; grandson, Daniel; and granddaughter, Blanca Rosa. Francisco is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Socorro Barriga of the family home; his children, Frank Barriga, Jr. and wife Jesusita, Socorro Sotelo and husband Roberto, Ezequiel Barriga and wife Alicia, Eliseo Barriga and wife Mary, Mario Barriga and wife Darlene, Ninfa, Mando, Lorina, Oscar, and Ivan Barriga; 29 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one brother, Ramon Barriga of Presidio, TX; other relatives and friends. Francisco will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those who knew and loved him. Visitations for Mr. Barriga will be held Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary; where a Rosary will be recited at 3:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo, NM. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Casket bearers will be his sons, Frank, Jr., Ezequiel, Eliseo, Mario, Mando, Oscar and Ivan Barriga. i am looking for my mother ramona barriga tato, she has 2 sisters fernanda , and maria, last known whereabouts were in spain, she has 3 children that i know about , 2 sons robert and francisco, and 1 daughter yolanda, she was married to henry l martinez, but they got divorced in 1975 or 76, i am yolanda and my brothers and i are looking for her, if any one knows anything about her or any relatives of hers, please contact me, very desperate to know her or at least know anything about her, have not seen her in 27 years, but have been looking for the same amount of time. thank you
