Thank you Howard. I've uploaded the information that I have so far to ancestry.com to the Carpenter/Barringer Family Tree. Much of the information is only up to date as far as about 1990. I'd be happy to email you a non-privatized report if you would send me a message with an email address.

I have had minimum contact with descendants of Arley, in my Barringer family research. I do not have a marriage date for him and Alice. In 1930 census Alice was living with her parents, Edward and Lena Anderson , natives of Norway, in Liberty Co. MT. at Joplin. Arley was listed as divorced at that time. Their children were Virginia b 1921, who married William Harry Jasven, and William b 1922 died an infant. Is there some information on the family that you can share with me, say birthdates, I believe I only have one full date amongst all those children. Howard Boswell

According to several family trees availale on the internet, Alex Rexford Barringer (11/4/1897 Ruthven, IA - 2/6/1985 Mesa, AZ) was married to a Alice Anderson (1897 - 1920) prier to his marraige to Viola Hansen (12/20/1914 Ruthven, IA - abt 1990 IA). I have been unable to confirm this marriage or find a source other than posted family trees, none of which provide a source. Can anyone here provide any information on a marriage between Arley and Alice? Thanks.

Barringer from Germany.

My husbands name is Jack Desmond Cooke from Kannapolis, NC and his Dad was Jack Jamison Cooke, and then it went up the line to Herman S. Cooke and Charles H. Cooke, to Alfred Cooke to Nicholas Cook to Mathias Cook, then to Nicholas Cook and then finally Nicholas Koch born 1720 and died 1810 in Cabarrus County.

Looking for info on My Grandmother Mary Ann Barringer b.1899 in Cambridgeshire . She has a sister named Winifred and possibly two brothers named Harry and George. Her father was an Anglican priest possibly born in 1826.She married Joseph Day in Leicester. Haven't been able to find her records for birth or marriage. They say she died in 1982. Her sister died earlier than that. Lost the inheritance paper for Winifred. So far can't find records to connect Mary Ann with her sister Winifred. I think Winifred was born after Mary Ann.

Linda Barnett(Joyce)

Melissa--There were many William BARRINGER/BERNINGERS out there in ancestor-land. One that I know of was William BARENGER who married Sarah CAMPBELL in Fairfield Co., OH in 1811. I know there was also an Andrew BERNINGER in Fairfield about that time, and there were ROUSH/ROUCH families there, too. The reason I looked twice at William in Fairfield Co. is because there were also some BERNINGER/CAMPBELL connections in Columbia Co., PA, where my BERNINGER came from. I know 1811 is too early for your William, but could this William be his father?

I have found that my Grace Miller (married to Mr. Palen) is not married to William Palen, as I thought. Further information now tells me that William Palen's wife, Grace is not Grace Miller. As of now, I do not have any information on the husband of my Grace Miller, except his surname.

Thanks for your information on your great grandfather, I will update my information. Where are Charles & Mary M. Redwine Barringer from? Can you give me any information on them-where they're buried, anywhere they ever lived, other children's names, when and where they were born and got married, etc. I have been stuck at Joseph for so long, it is nice to get answers! Looking forward to hearing from you again.

You may recieve two messages, I filled out one, and lost it somewhere. I copied the census records for Charles C. Barringer , 1900 through 1930; his and his son Charles Thomas' death dates, but nothing else, I could not locate him in 1880 with his parents, so stuck there. If you have other clues, I will check further. If you need these records I will send them along. Howard Boswell

I do believe that either John or George owned property and live in Ohio during the 1920's and 30's. Fred. "Frank" Barringer as well as Hattie May was buried on the property when they died in 1937 and 1940! I would appreciate any info on where the property is and who Catherine's husband was! Also would like info on John's and George's family too!

I'm looking for records for my grandmother Mary Annie Barringer. Her father was a priest. They lived in England. I'm not sure how many siblings she had but I know that she had a twin sister named Winnifred. She married later in life(aproximately 42years of age. Her husbands name was Joseph Day. He was said to be 19 years younger than my grandmother. They had one child ( my mother) Daphne Josephine Day. My mother married in 1951 to Alan Barnett of Doncaster South Yorkshire and moved to Canada shortly after.I've been able to trace 150 relatives on my fathers side but have not been able to trace past my mother. If you know of my grandmother or family I'd love to hear from you.
Linda Joyce(Barnett)

Hi,

I, too, have a Barringer line that was in Bedford County, Pennsylvania and Washington County, Maryland that I am trying to sort out.

My 3rd great-grandmother was Hannah Barringer. She was born about 1780 in Maryland. She was married 1st to John Fisher (who was a Hessian soldier). They had three children together. Their youngest son, Jonathan B. Fisher (my 2GGrandfather), was born 1815 in Bedford County, PA. John died sometime between 1815-1830. Hannah than married Jacob Houser. They are listed in the 1830 census of Woodbury Twp., Bedford Co., PA together. In 1832, they moved to Indiana.

Stacey
