Looking for information on Barsuhn family originally of Sziesze, district of Heydekrug, East Prussia. Gustav Rudolf Barsuhn was my Great Uncle and was killed on the Eastern Front of World War II on August 22, 1942. He left behind his widow and three-month-old baby who eventually immigrated to America.

Gustav Barsuhn's mother's name was Rosa Barsuhn. She and her son-in-law, Willie Mitzkus, were killed by Russian soldiers. Willie's daughter Vera Mitzkus witness the slaying of her father and grandmother. She was about 14 at the time. Vera was born on July 2, 1930 in Pagrienen, Heydekrug and died on July 29, 1997 in Rinteln, Germany.

Any information on the Barsuhn or Mitzkus families would be dearly appreciated.

info on Adam Barszcz ; he lived in Boryslaw poland before ww2 , he was headteacher at a high school , also he was
in the army as a Leiutenant Major , after 5 years of fighting
he settled in London England , his Brother was killed in the
first year of the war ,all his military history is in the Sikorski
Museum in London , My grandfather is buried in ealing cemetery , Who has information about his parents , we have
photos of him with friends and children .

My grandfather was Josef or Joseph spelled both ways. He was born in Poland Feb 18,1883 and died August 1976. He was married to Mary born March 23,1891 and lived in Milwaukee WI since at least 1923. They may of lived in Seattle. They had 8 children 2 died as children, one was killed in WWII. They had relatives in Pennsyvania.

My great-grandmother's name is listed as Eva Bazyzc in one official document. Does anyone know if that could be a mis-spelling of Barszcz. She married John Serafin and lived in Pennsylvania. They had at least one child, Joseph, born in Dixon, PA in 1895. He may have had a sibling. Sound familiar to anyone?

Frank Barszcz Jr. is my grandfather.His parents names were Pauline and Francis. Frank died June 5, 1984. He lived with his wife Thelma and his 3 daughters in Ct. All of his family that I know of is located in the CT area. He was in the Korean War and was forced home because of an injury to his ear.
