I am looking for date and birth place for my grandfather John Frank (or Franklin) BARTEAU. Probably born Long Island,
NY mid 1800's. Married Emma STAPLES of Delaware Water Gap, PA. They had five children, Agnes McELVEY, Ethel VAN WHY, Mildred SHERWOOD, John Frank(lin) BARTEAU (my father), Marjorie SCOBLE. Family lore says he and his three brothers worked in Yukon and/or Alaska during 1890's possibly on the construction of the Yukon and White Pass Railroad. He died 12 Aug 1921 in Delaware Water Gap, PA.
