I am interested in obtaining information regarding an Emma Bartell of Alameda California. I don't know her maiden name. She was born or about May 5, 1888 in Nebraska and died November 17, 1965. I would be interested in the names of any possible parents in particular her mother or even just her maiden name would be valuable.

The reason for my query regards the 1920 census where Harry and Emma are listed with an ancestor of mine one Carl Thorvald Eklund an uncle many generations removed. In this census he is listed as a brother-in-law to Harry. Since he was single his whole life I suspect the only answer is that Emma is his sister. Now due to peculiarities of Carl's father Axel Eklund it is possible that she is a half sister. There are many other possibilities of course but it is most curious.
