I am looking for information on Bardells from Alsace, changed name from Barthel when moved from Ingenheim Alsace. Most of the family settled in Stephenson County Illionis. I have information back to a Jean George Barthel born 1786 collected by a Phil Bardell Sr from Freeport IL. I would love to correspond/exchange information with anyone along these lines. Names I have from 1876 back Henry Bardell son of Michael Bardell, son of Jacob Bardell/Jasques Barthel son of Jean George Barthel son of Jasques Barthel born 1786. I know that some of the Bardell/Barthels lived in Ontario for awhile. There is also a brother John who married a Philapena Gross. Thanks!
