Hi:

Ran across your query. Your Sarah Bartholomew (1800-1865) who married Henry Lunn (1797-1873) in 1818 was a half-sister to my great-great grandfather, George Edward "Ted" Bartholomew (1828-1910). Sarah was the child of Thomas and Ruth Bartholomew, who both lived and died in Crondall, Hampshire.

I have much more regarding this family. Hope to hear from you. My direct email is rjbesq@embarqmail.com

Regards,

Robert (Jeff) Bartholomew
Jefferson City, Missouri
Iowa Bartholomews

Bill, I have an Ann Bartholomew (Bottlemy) who married a Peter Woolf. Ann Bartholomew Woolf moved to Keokuk Co., Iowa in 1854 and died there May 2, 1906. It's possible some of her siblings may have moved to Keokuk, also. I have not been able to locate them. Can you tell me any of the names of those that would have been around in the 1860 to 1900 time frame? Maybe mine will match.

Hi Bill,

Hazel doesn't ring a bell. Do you have any kind of dates? Anna Bartholomew was born Feb. 1820 in OH and married Peter Wolf (Woolf) 14 Jun 1835 in Tuscarawas Co., OH. Anna was the youngest of the siblings. Her sisters were Burea, Gregundy and Teresia. Anna's brothers were Xopherius, John and Blasivue(Booth). I have Anna traced to Iowa and I am descended from John, who stayed in OH. The others, I have no idea where they went. Maybe one of these will connect for you.

Henry Bartholomew and Annie Moore immigrated from England to Canada in 1840. They had 4 children that I know of. Lucius Earl, Emma Eugenia, James, and Irvin Bartholomew. Lucius married Sarah Elizia Isteed and they resided in Picton, Prince Edward, Ontario, Canada. I am a descendant of Lucius and Sarah.
