William E. "Bill" Bartholomew, 49,
of 7 Greenwood Ave., Lock Haven, PA,
died Friday, March 27, 2009 at the Gatehouse in Williamsport.

Born April 8, 1959 in Lock Haven, PA,
he was adopted and raised by his grandparents, William and Pauline Poorman Bartholomew.

On April 29, 2006 he married Patricia A. Leathers, who survives at home.

Bill was a 1977 graduate of Lock Haven High School and was a life member and relief driver for the Hope Hose Co. No. 2 in Lock Haven.

He also was an EMT and had earned a number of fire school certifications.

He was employed by Woolrich Inc. for the past 30 years as a truck driver and in the distribution department.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two stepsons, Frank R. (Julie) Miller of Lancaster and Matthew P. Miller of Lock Haven.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 1 p.m. in the Charlton Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Bryon K. Reynolds officiating.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today in the Dean K. Wetzler Jr. Funeral Home, Mill Hall, with a Hope Hose Co. memorial service at 8:15 p.m., and Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the time of services at the Charlton Chapel. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Mill Hall.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Charlton Chapel, in care of the funeral home.
