Bartholomew Adoption

I am looking for any information on an adoption from a Bartholomew women between 1926 to 1930, Ibelieve the adoption took place in Kokomo Indiana. It was a female baby how was adopted by John and Nellie (Davis) Record. This would be my Mother. Story has it that the Bartholomew woman was of the upper class, she got pregnant and the baby was adopted out. I am the Daughter of this adopted child please help me find new relatives. I am wondering about any illnesses such as Pancreatitis.

She lived in Jonesville, MI, and married Adelbert Wisner. Most of her family is buried in Sunset View Cemetery, and supposedly she and her husband are, too, but I cannot find any record of her death. Death might be in the 1920s.

My Bartholomew lineage hails from Billed Germany/Austria. The majority of my family arrived here in 1912 and resided here in NJ.

there are a couple of other Bartholomew's here that are not related to me. Actually, our name was Bartholome but the "w" was added somewhere during the Ellis Island adventure.

Hello David - I am also related to Charles Bartholomew, he was my Great, Great Grandmother's brother (Emily Bartholomew, b 1834). I think that might make us 4th cousins? I regret to say I have no family archive information at all. Indeed, I only became aware of Charles Bartholomew's prominence because I stumbled across Malcolm's website after picking up on some vague family memories about Turkish Bath houses. It would be wonderful to find out more about Charles Bartholomew himself, or, indeed, our more distant common ancestors, if you have any information you would be prepared to share with me.

I have an original Cabinet Card photograph of “Nina Fellon”, which I’d like to get back to descendants or family members. Photo was taken in Vermont (Fulton Co.) IL, and she looks to me to be about nine years old.

I found Nina in the 1900 census for Vermont (Fulton Co.), showing Nina as daughter of Robert and Cornelia Fellon, showing her birthdate as Mar 1884 in IL. Ancestry OneWorldTree shows that her mother’s maiden name was Mathews, and her father was Robert B. Fellon. IL Death Index shows her birthdate 21 March 1884 as Nina F., and that she died in Peoria, IL in 1938 as Nina F. Bartholomew, spouse of Howard. She was buried in Vermont (Fulton Co.), which is where the photo was taken.

Not sure we can help but our Bartholomew family has its roots in Austria Hungary. If you are having trouble we found out the the w was added to our last name when my great-grandparent immigrated to America.

I am looking for a link between Charlotte Bartholomew,(born Barnes 1842 in Waldron wife of Charles Bartholomew b1840) Sussex),and living at The Down, Lamberhurst, and Pobert Sears (b 1867 Milton Kent)or his wife Ellen( nee Pearce b 1865 Maidstone Kent). An elderly relative is sure Ellen and Charlotte were sisters but they are not. My grandmother was a Bartholomew. My aunt and her daughter-in law researched the family tree extensively, and were kind enough to give the information to the family. They went back to the 1600's. I don't know if we have the same roots in England, but I would give you the information I have. I have been working on the other three grand-parents tree, so I am not organized on this one.

According to some family trees on ancestry.com, Harry Bartholomew was the son of Leman and Clarissa Bartholomew. I don't have any specific information on him, though. You might want to check out the Bartholomew Famil Book, by George Bartholomew.

His WWI Draft Registration Card gives birth date of Oct 1883. There is a Herbert with that birth date in Philadelphia, PA in the 1900 Census.

I am trying to find the parents of Herbert Bartholomew b. 1884 or 1887, m. ~1904 Lola R --?--, d. ?, children: Lloyd, Arthur, Charles, Dorothy, Kathryn, Thelma, Dagmar

He moved back and forth between Williamsport area, Lycoming Co. PA & Lockhaven area, Clinton Co. PA. I have found him in the 1910, 1920, and 1930 censuses, but cannot find him on the 1900 census. Any suggestions of where to look next would be most welcome!

1901 married Loula Maud Plowe in Valley City, ND

1907 married Agnes Jonson Spokane, WA

1920 show him married to Katherine Baird (maiden name Westfall)in Colorado. It seems that Katherine is his third wife, Carrol is Katherine's second husband.
Katherine and Carrol got a divorce.

I have no idea what happened to Carrol after the divorce from Katherine but I just found he is in the Colorado Prisoner Index...based on his inmate # he was in prison between 11/28/1902 and 11/22/1924.

If anyone has information about Carrol or his family, I would love to hear from you.

I know your info has been on this site a while, however I just stumbled upon it. I am descendant of Patrick Joseph Magee fr. Ireland/Pa. His son William is in my line. I was excited to read that Patrick came from Donegal, County Antrim. Where did you find this information. I have been recently searching and had no idea what part of Ireland he came from. Have you found out any more specifics? I have discovered a lot about the family in Huntingdon County Pa. but need to find out about Ireland. Any help would be sooo appreciated.

POW/MIA Korean War Bartholomew

I am searching for the family of a soldier who was killed in the Korea War. When he entered service he gave San Francisco, CA as his home of record. His remains were never recovered. Our government has no family contact at this time for this soldier

Soldier: George Herman Bartholomew
Born:1932 Caucasian
Date of loss: 27 July 1950 MIA

When the Korean War ended the enemy never returned or accounted for over 8,000 of our servicemen. They died in their hands. That was over 50 years ago. Since that time DNA has been perfected and also they are recovering remains in North Korea. Our government is obligated to return those remains to the proper family. DNA samples have been obtained from most of the families of these missing soldiers. For various reasons some families have not been located.

When the remains are recovered and identified they will be returned to the family for proper burial. I am just an old (79years) Combat Veteran out of the Korean War and thankful that I did return. I consider this a very noble cause and I hope that you can help in some way to find this family. For more information on the project you may go to http://www.jpac.pacom.mil/. My part in the program is to match up the lost families with the proper agency.

I will be grateful for any assistance in locating this family.

Just to clarify, I would be happy to share more with you! There is NO native American link to Daisy that I can see or find. Daisy's family surnames, Bartholomew and Geddes are European! Burkett is an assumed name also. William David Wilbourne was his real birth name. Family rumor is there was a possible murder and he left his first wife and two kids and assumed the Burkett last name in Oklahoma. One reason why researching the family Burkett line is so difficult, LOL The youngest son of Daisy and W.E Burkett had his last name changed back to Wilbourne. e-mail me directly crafty @ nctv. com
