The online website History of Pottawattamie County, Iowa says that Roscoe Barton married a Mrs Hannah Altig, widow of William Altig on April 6, 1893. Hannah was a native of Fountain County, Indiana and her parents were Caleb and Elizabeth Abernathy. Caleb was born in Ohio and Elizabeth in Kentucky. Hannah was one of 10 children.
