My great grandmother, Clementine Gertrude (Waddell) Bascomb, married Augustas Bascomb in Beaufort SC in 1887. They were married for 25 years when she became a widow. She was the daughter of George Waddell and Mary (McAllister) Waddell, the granddaughter of Rev. and Mrs. Arthur Waddell.
