Donna, are you still researching your Baskett's? I'm researching my wife's ancestry & she descends from William Baskett b.1820 TN m. Mary Turpin--they are the parents of your Montriville/Montroville Baskett m. 1863 Summersville Texas Co MO Armeda America Renfrow. I have a THEORY that the next earlier generation goes like this:
Thomas Basket b.ca1785 SC m. __unk__ b.ca1785 GA, had these children:
1.William Baskett b.1820 TN m. Mary Turpin (many descendants)
2.Thomas Baskett b.1828 MO m. Harriett Yount(some descendants)
3.Rebecca Baskett b.1832 MO (no more data found yet)
My theory is supported by tax & census data but still remains to be proven. I’m currently searching SC, GA & other record sources to see what can be found to prove/disprove my theory.
