Thomas married Harriet Yount 2 Aug 1849 in Washington Co.,MO. Thomas and Harriet are on the 1850 census for Washington Co., MO. This family does not appear on the MO census records since 1850. Based on other info and dates I believe these to be the parents of Henry Basket. Henry is on the 1870 census in Shannon Co., MO. In the same census enumerated next to household Henry is in is a Wm Basket 8y/o. This child is living with a John and Harriet Rowell. Does anyone have info that might help me. Oral history has Henry's father having been shot as a confederate spy. I would like to verify this and find out where he is buried. I am a direct descendent.
