Note your posting. I am here in Belfast, The name Baskin is very rare here. There was a lady from Donegal (next County to Derry) who worked for the Irish Television and
Radio (RTE) some years back.She was from Donegal and I used to hear her talk of the uniqueness of her name. Maybe if you would try and contact her via the RTE Office in Dublin they may be able to help you. Derry would have been the port of exit to N.America from Donegal. RTE address info on the web.
