I have limited information on Frank S Baskins, he was my great-grandmothers brother. Their father was Jacob S Baskins.

I am descended from William Ward Baskins' aunt, Missouri Baskin (b c1822, Lancaster Co). She married William Reeves and moved to Mississippi -- I wonder if William and Amy Ella were related.

R.M. Bell had a good bit of information on this family. I imagine you've seen it, but if not, let me know and I'll post a pointer to it. I'll also be happy to share what I have on Missouri's descendents if you're interested.

In any case, I'd like to discuss this family with you.

In Hughes Cemetery in wynne, Ar, there is a John baskins and a cynthia baskins. they are born about the same time. They are on oposite ends of the cemetery. did your John and Cynthia posibble divorce or separate???

Sometimes spelled Baskin.

William married Amy Ella Reeves, daughter of James Brady Reeves Sr. and
Bethenia Williams, about 1855 in Lancaster Co., South Carolina. Amy was born
on August 3, 1840 in Rich Hill, Lancaster Co., South Carolina, died on
February 21, 1917 in Lancaster Co., South Carolina, at age 76, and was buried
in Small Cemetery Off Highway 522 And Rocky River Road In Lancaster Co., South
Carolina. They had 12 children: W. J. B., John L., Jefferson James Brady,
Andrew E., William Ward, Robert Lee, Jane E. B., Mary E. C., Darcey Amy S.,
James G., Eula Bethen E., and Amos C..

W. J. B. Baskins was born about 1856 in Lancaster Co., South Carolina.

Probably died before 1870 Not on census with family.

died on May 27, 1942, at age 78, and was buried in Fork Hill Cemetery,
Lancaster Co., South Carolina.

William Ward Baskins Jr. was born about 1866 in Lancaster Co., South
Carolina, died on April 15, 1895 in Lancaster Co., South Carolina, at age
29, and was buried in Fork Hill Cemetery, Lancaster Co., South Carolina.

William married Mary Jane Baker. Mary was born on March 1, 1869 in Lancaster
Co., South Carolina, died on October 21, 1929 in Lancaster Co., South
Carolina, at age 60, and was buried in Fork Hill Cemetery, Lancaster Co.,
South Carolina.

Mary was first married to W. W. Baskins Jr. He died, and she remarried to

Apparently these are the daughters of Robert F. Baskins who died 1860 in Yell County Arkansas. He married Alice F.

Robert Baskins was son of JOhn Baskins and Cynthia Smith of Casa, Perry County, Arkansas.

John Baskins was son of Moses Baskins and Catherine Adkinson.

Willie A Baskins is very likely son of:

Eli Baskins born 1838/9 Hardin County Tenn and died 12 Mar 1889 at Newcastle, Ark.
He married Mary Adams born 1821 Tenn on Jan 1866 Lindin Tenn, she died Mar 1885 Gravel Springs, Alabama. Eli married second to Mrs. Betty Stones July 1893 at Tisimango County Mississippi. They had a son named Will Bskins born 1871.

Eli Baskins was son of Walter Baskins born 1781 Washington County tennessee, died 1pr 1860 Lauderdale County, Alabama, and Mary Saunders.

I can give you some info on Robert McKinley Baskin,
and some of his children. This is my husbands, direct
line. Robert was his GGGrandfather. Son Andresw J.
was his G.Grandfather. Also have some info on sister
Sarah.

Our Robert Mckinley's Father was Hugh, but married
to Sarah McKinley.

you are correct. william dobing married Gertie Cockran. Their daughter Charlotte "lottie" G Dobing married willie baskins. They are my father in law's parents. They moved to Cross Co and St Francis Co, Arkansas where they raised their family of 14 children. They lived the rest of their years and are buried in hughes Cemetery in St Francis Co, Arkansas in the city of Wynne. It is interesting that you contacted me at this time..... we are having our 1st baskins reunion in MANY years today....... I would love more info. skymobile7592@sbcglobal.net

I may have made the connection, Hannah M Dobing my geart aunt had 2 brothers from Walker County, AL. Named:
Hannah Dobbins/Dobing b: MAR 1875 in England
William Dobbins/Dobing b: MAR 1879 in England
George Dobbins/Dobinng b: MAR 1882 in England
All were raised by my grandfather
William Benson Wood and
Hannah Mary Dobing Wood. Hope this helps. I have alot more info if I am correct.

Maybe I can help you out with this. My grandfather is originally from Arkansas. From what I know this is where my family (Baskins) originated. He was born in 1913. Have you found the information you needed or do you need more?

I need to correct my information, my memory was poor when I wrote the prior statement.

Isaac W. Baskin and Mary Ann Carter has son
George W. Baskin born 1849 -no record

Aaron Thomas Baskin and Eva Florence Rainey had son
George W. Baskin born 31 Mar 1873 Stone Co Ark. It was this George, I was refering to. His father is brother to Isaac W. Baskin.

I have never found my line, as above, in St. Francis Co Ar.

I chase all lines, trying to find mine.

According to my husband's grandmother, Flora Mae JOHNSON(PACE)(ODOM), Henry BASKINS (her mom's brother) was the 3rd of 10c b to Marion BASKINS & 'Sis' DAVIS. She reported he died unmarried. He is not on the 1880 census, so he probably died young. On the 1880 Mortality Page for Obion Co, listed is : "BASKINS....0, TN SEPT STILLBORN." Could this be him?
Maybe your BASKINS was a descendant of one of Marion's brothers.

Minnie Baskins/Clara Baskins/Otha Baskins in Arkansas

I am looking for information on a Minnie Baskins, born 1892 in Arkansas.

I am also trying to connect a Clara Baskins and an Otha Baskins to this Minnie Baskins. I have photos (circa 1910-1915?) of a Clara Baskins and an Otha Baskins and am trying to figure out how they are connected to Minnie.

I am searching for more information on ROBERT BASKINS and his ancestors/descendants. I have very little information on him and would like to find more, since he is a direct relative.

All I know about Robert Baskins is that he was married to a woman named NORA CHRISTMAS and they had a daughter named MINNIE JANE BASKINS, who was born in 1892 in Casa, AR (county?)

I do not know any dates or locations on Robert, but I am guessing that he was born (or at least lived!) in AR since his daughter was born there. I am guessing he was born sometime between 1850-1875, which would make him between 17 and 42 when Minnie Jane was born.

I know this isn't much to go on... I do apologize. If anyone knows anything about this man, I would REALLY appreciate it!
