William George Bassett and Sarah Ann Sturgess

Surnames: Bassett, Sturgess
Hello! I am looking for information on William George Bassett and his wife Sarah Ann Sturgess. I know that they lived in Madoc, Hastings County, Ontario. I read on a website that William George Bassett could be the son of Joseph Bassett who emmigrated to Canada in the 1860's and later settled in Arnold, Nebraska. I can not find any information confirming this. However I am guessing that William G Bassett met Sarah Ann Sturgess in Nebraska and they moved to Madoc, Ontario. I don't know why or when. I do know that their children were born in Madoc, Ontario. If you have any information that could confirm or not, I would really appreicate it. I have been stumped on this for a while. Thanks for any help.
