Amos Bassett, son of John Bassett, was born around 1760 in West Creek, New Jersey. He died in 1832 in Cynthania, Kentucky. He married Susan Stout, daughter of David and Sarah (Parke) Stout, in 1789. She was born around 1769 and died in 1844.

two sons, Hiram and William Bassett, both born in Millersburg,
Kentucky.

Kentucky, married Elizabeth Helm Disher on 7 Apr 1822 in Bracken
or Mason County, Kentucky.

1799 in Mason County, Kentucky.

Polly Peed in Kentucky and moved to Montgomery County, Indiana.

8BAA. Benjamin Bassett - born in 1809, married Ann Stout, daughter of
David and Sarah (Parke) Stout. They had Sophia Ann Bassett who
married Richard H. Willitt 7 Feb 1854 and Elizabeth Bassett who
married Mason L. Clift. They lived in Mayslick, Mason County,
Kentucky. (Stout family lists this marriage as 17 Jun 1799)
Mason L. Clift, born 11 Oct 1818 was the son of Nelson Clift and
Elizabeth Runyon Stout. Elizabeth Runyon Stout was the daughter
of David and Sarah (Parke) Stout.
