I'm trying to find out where this Henry came from!
There is a record from Fort #4 (NH) of the marriage of Henry B Batchelder to Betsy E Bignall (b. 1805) of Acworth on February 10, 1822. I do not know where he came from, nor where he went. They have a son, Thomas Benjamin, in 1822. Henry is recorded in the 1830 US Census in Charlestown, NH, and Betsy remarries a Thomas Cummings in 1842. A Henry Batchelder is reported dead in Amoskeag (NH) in a 1839 newspaper.

I am particularly curious about where Henry came from. One family legend suggests Connecticut. If he is the one who died in 1839, the newspaper asks that "family in Vermont" be notified.
