Does anyone have information re: James ChalmersHeyns who arrived in the U.S. from Scotland on 8/23/1813? He was born in 1778 in Lanark, Scotland. Some records show Laneck, North Britain. He died on 8/23/1862 in Charleston, SC. He was my husband's g-g-g-grandfather.
