My maiden name is Cristal Bates with brother Mark and Daniel Bates. My dads name was Alfred Edward Bates which there are a lot of I II and Jr's too. Most all went to the South & North Carolina's, Alabama too.

Been trying to find more on the German history of things. My great grandfather was suppsoe to be a 1st general for Kieser Wilham but cannot find anything, help if you can.
