I am trying to do some geneological research on my grandmother's side of the family. Her maiden name was Batey. Her name was Addie Faye Batey. Her father's name was Steve or Steven William Batey. My grandmother was born July 16, 1918. She had sisters named Addie Belle(not sure of the spelling), Elsie, Dorothy and brothers JC and Johnny. I believe Johnny died at an early age. Dorothy is the youngest of the sisters. There could be more children. I am not really sure. My great grandfather Steve was in his 90's when he died in the 70's. If any one can help me get started, I would greatly appreciate it. Oh...as far as I know, these Batey's were in Texas.

My grandmother married Elzie Lee Casey and they had six children. Billy Wayne, Delores Faye, Steve William, Jerri Marie, Sherry Pat and Robert Dale. She then divorced Elzie Lee and married Bill Wood. She gave birth to Vickie Sue and the Anita Faye.
