Hi Eva, Glad you liked the "Dimon" in your mother's maiden name. The Dimon family were among the very early settlers of the Connecticut Colony. The family was very wealthy in the early 1800s, but the fortune had long since dissipated by the time Juliette married my great-grandfather. Her father, Seeley Dimon, just seemed to be one of those hard luck kind of guys who never had two nickels to rub together. If you would like my writeup off the Dimons, e-mail me at
john.bates2@att.net. You confused me a bit with your introduction. You realize that Charles Henry Bath, Sr. married Flora Mildred Bates and they had four children, one of whom was a daughter, Flora Bates Bath, whose married name was Murphy. Regards, John Bates
