Surnames: Batie or Batey
I'm trying to look into my mums family Batie of the north of england for her. She's internet shy and has tried other means. Thomas and Margaret had atleast seven kids, Thomas, Meg, Jenny, Alice, Lilah, Jim and Robert Selby who was my mums father. At some point the surname became Batey. Any help much appreciated thanks.
