Hello my name is Eric Baptiste. My grand father was John Baptista Born in New Bedford MA 1935, my Gr.Grandfather was Manuel Baptista born in Madelena Pico acores 1902, my great great grandfather was Joao Batista of Madelena , not sure of the birth year.
Its been a confusing search as the name has dropped and gained letters over the years. The oldest name I have is the Joao Batista of Madelena. Any one share the same surname or know of any history, it would be greatly appreciated. I have Goverment documents verifying the names above, so I know I have the correct names.
