My GGrandmother Achixa b 1858 (m Oliver) was the daughter of George Batson and her mother was Native American. They lived in JeffCo, abt 1850 and later.She had brothers: Sam (m. Ella Mcdonald), William(m. Julia ), Thomas (m. Ella), James ( was a twin to Achixa), Abihu (m. Mary) Some of Abi's children were Mary ( had daughter Marylou who attended Talledega School for the deaf), Roxie, Conny (male) M. Maude, George (m. Noble). One brother married May Vines-2 children Lottie May and Nunice(male). Achixa also had sisters Drusilla:(m. John) Eliza (m. John) There may well have been other children. I have access to her family Bible, but her mothers name is not recorded.Family only referred to her as 'Grandma Batson". Can anyone please help me find a George Batson whose wife was Native American? FOREVER GRATEFUL!
