Other children include Emma Maude, Eliza Isabelle, George Henry, Gertrude E. and Florence E Batt, all born in England.

-Marion's g-g-grandparents were Samuel Batt and Eliza Jenkins

Any of these ring a bell? They settled in/around Cleveland, OH (Maple Heights, Garfield Heights, Bedford, etc.) around the 1870-1880 and stayed for generations.

I would love to find someone with photos/info to share.
Harry L Batt

Hello there. I'm trying to find the preceding ancestors of Harry L Batt. I do believe that he is the father of Albert Batt, who is married to Della Rice. He also fathered a Caroline, I believe. His spouse's, parent's name, anything would be fabulous. I believe that he was probably born in either Buffalo, NY area or Pennsylvania, but I might be insanely wrong. I don't know much, really, about him. I believe that he was married to a Pauline, but I don't know of her maiden name or if that was even her first name. I do know that he was born in 1861... I think. Anyway, any information would be wonderful. Thanks a million and a half.

Allie Batt

Christopher Batt of Salisbury Wilts.

Does anyone know if the Christopher Batt who emigrated to Mass. left family behind in Wiltshire? I am looking for a Christopher Batt of Salisbury, Wiltshire, who had a daughter named Catherine Batt born between 1620-1660. She married a William Coles and had a daughter who was married in 1692.

It seems unlikely to be the Christopher who emigrated as he took his children with him, unless Catherine was an earlier child and was already settled when they left. (What year did they emigrate? It must be after Paul was born in England 1642 and before Jane was married in America in 1661).

The only other thing I can think of is if Christopher's father Thomas had a brother who also had a son named Christopher.

Any information at all on this would be much appreciated.

Monica

I am seeking descendants of Pvt. William Batt, Company D, 1st CA Infantry (later re-named the 71st PA Infantry), who died in Richmond, VA as a POW in 1861. He and others are named on a website that details the story of hundreds of POW deaths in Richmond in 1861-63, and also the story of a marker recently placed in their memory. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks -

Jeffry Burden
http://home.comcast.net/~shockoehill

Seeking documentation on Edith Batt, b. ca. 1645, VA

Some Watts family trees include Edith Batt, born around 1645 in Virginia, but I have seen no documentation about her or these generations of Watts families. Her husband was reportedly Edward Watts II, of Spotsylvania County, VA, born around 1645, died about 1728.

I would appreciate any help documenting the preceding and succeeding generations of this family.

There were two Batte men listed on the Jamestown Colony lists: were they connected to Edith in any way?

Dave thanks for that information - to the best of my knowledge nothing about my Batt line has been sent anywhere. I would love to get a copy of the thing you mentioned. All I know is that my father was John (Jul 22), my grandfather also John (May 98) - his father and mother were Mary and Frederick and I know nothing of their DOB or DOD or anything before that. From what I know it was his second marriage - I know nothing of the first. My grandfather also had a brother named Frederick and his wife was Mary - just a coincidence. My grandmother was a Heeger. Thanks again.

M. BATT marriage to Unknown GAY(1770-1780 TN>NC)

I am looking for a connection to the BATT(BATTE,BATES)family with the GAY surname. I have a BATTE GAY who would have been born c. 1760 possibly in TN or NC. Family history says he moved to Georgia around 1818 with his brother Matthew GAY. Any help at all would be appreciated.
