Looking for information (ancestry) on Elizabeth Batte born in late 1700's probably in VA or MD. Married Samuel Evans born 1786 in SC (son of James Evans born in Ireland in 1756). Had son Matthew Ryan Evans born 4-23-1809. Matthew Ryan Evans was father of prominent 19th century southern novelist Augusta Jane Evans.
