Surnames: Batten, Howell
Laurenda Batten married Jethro Howell December 1854. she was born 1836 in NC. Jethro was born 1832, died 1885. I don't know her family's names. I am told that she was adopted and raised by another family, possible by the name of "Holt."
Her name was most probably Nancy L. This is highly likely, since it seems everyone in that area uses their middle names.
Children: Genetta; Charlie; Mary; London King (King Larden/Lum); Appie m. George Worley; Nell; Elizabeth; Tilithia m. Millard Lane; Luetta (Lou); Fristus Haywood Howell m. Katie Watkins.
