I am seeking info on my great aunt Kitty. She was born 1894 and lived in Rastrick then Huddersfield. In May 1918 she married Percy St Clair Morris in Huddersfield. Later she lived in Sunderland I think on Roker Avenue near the old football ground. Any info on Kitty would be most welcome, Raymond.

After the passing of my mother and uncle, I have no living relatives in America and am searching for my Scottish roots. My great grandparents, William (son of George and Agnes Square Battison, born 1832 in St. Ninniens, Stirling, Scotland), and Elizabeth McFarlane Battison (daughter of Archibald and Janet Murdoch McFarlane born 3 Jan 1835 in Kilmadock, Perth, Scotland) had four children; Janet Murdoch Battison, b. 9 July 1867, George Battison, b. 10 Aug. 1869, Agnes Battison b. 21 Aug. 1871, and my grandmother, Isabella Battison Jenkins, b. 10 Jul 1874 in Stirling, Scotland. Isabella was head cook at Langarth Castle about 1910-1913 before marrying my grandfather and coming to America. Thank you for any assistance in connecting with my family....Christina from Texas

Came across this headstone in Muiravonside Old Parish Church Graveyard:

"Erected by Elizabeth Jarvie in memory of Peter Battison her husband who died 15th November 1876 aged 33 years also their daughter Isabella Battison died 5th November 1876 aged 11 years. The above Elizabeth Jarvie died 13th November 1924 aged 81 years. Also their youngest son John, died at Linlithgow Bridge 31st August 1952 aged 75 years."
