Surnames: Battista and Saltarini
My greatgrandfather came to New York from Italy in 1910. I cannot find any information on him. Specifically, I'd like to know who his parents were and locate his death certificate in New York and his birth certificate in Southern Itally. His name was Sabato Battista married Angelina Saltarini (my greatgrandmother) who was adopted in Italy by Michele and ? Saltarini. Any information on her birth parents or adopted parents would also be appriciated. Also any information on adoptions in Italy, in the late 1800's, in general would be helpful.
