I have been tracing our tree for awhile and I believe I got "mixed up" and discovered there were two sets of Battles but they are Definitely related. My mom and aunt are Alfrida and Edith Battle. My Grandfather was James A. Battle. He married Vera Benton, his mom's name was Mary Love. Other names... I have heard mentioned are Sydney, Shelton, Viola, Ullyses,"Munsy", Silver...All Battles (and some Petersons)If any of you have any info or may be connected please let me know. Mobile, Eufala, Russell county, Columbus, GA are all places that I believe these relatives are from. I think there are relatives in Tennesee, chicago and north carolina as well.
