Looking for Jacob von Baumbach (B. 1870) from Stearns County, MN. His father Fredrick was from Milwaukee WI and settled in Alexandria MN, a prominent figure in MN politics. Jacob married Etta Orendorff(b. 1881) in 1899. Her father was H D Orendorff.

I bought this family history at an estate sale. I read the entire book in a couple of days. The stories were riveting, as well as, sad. So much work went into this book that it belongs with a family member. I could see family resemblances in the pictures. I was drawn in by the great storytelling done by different members of the families. There were joys and sorrows. The families pulled together in times of trouble.

The family came from Russia to Canada to South Dakota to Lodi, California.

The surnames mentioned were the following: Reimche, Heinz, Banik, Reiswig, Dell, Hoeger, Bischke, Opp, and Oswald.

I would like for this book to get back to a family member. Please contact me if you have an interest in this book.

Ludwig Seibel married (according to a death certificate) Margaretta Reimche. Their children were: daughters-Elizabeth Seibel(born 1887 so. Looking for info on George Baumbach b. Dec. 19, 1863 and moved to Buffalo N.Y., Andrew Baumbach who died in Buffalo N.Y. on November 12, 1945 and Agust Edward Baumbach b. June 23, 1885 and d. January 08, 1932 in Winnipeg or Manitoba, Canada. They were all born in Ontario Canada and were brothers to my Great Grandfather William G. F. Baumbach who was b. I know the Moore/Baumbach side of my family is somehow related to the Carroll family from Gascondade county, MO but I'm not sure how.

James Lafayette Moore (my great grandfather) b March 1891

My great grandfather wrote part of his own obituary and listed his mother's name as Caroline Baumbach. He also talked about having a brother Henry and a sister (I don't know a name).

Somewhere around 1902 the children were orphaned. His brother Henry "took off" and was never heard from again. His sister died young. James was about 12 and lived with different relatives in Gasconade county.

If anyone has any information on this family. The Caroll family (and spelling) or the Baumbach family (any spelling) as well as the Moore's in Gasconade county in this time period please contact me. I've hit a brick wall on this side of the family and would greatly appreciate help anyone can give.

I'm looking for ancestors of the BAUMBACH or BAUMBACK or similar sound name who may have been related or connected in some way to Henry or Emma MOORE or James Lafayette MOORE b 1891 Gasconade, CO lived in Sedalia, MO from at leat 1910 until his death in 1968. I'm told that someone from the CARROL or CARROLL family attended James' funeral, possibly a cousin.

This BAUMBACH/BAUMBACK or similar sounding name may have also been related or somehow connected with the CARROL or CARROLL family. I'm told some CARROL/CARROLL and other cousins from Owensville, MO attended James' funeral in Sedalia, MO in 1968.

If you have any information on either the CARROL/CARROLL, BAUMBACH/BAUMBACK (or sounds like), or MOORE family please contact me.

My great, great grandfather John Victor Linden came from Sweden about 1883 to NY and sometime after worked in the hot houses on Bombboc or Baumbach Estate, Whitefish Bay. My grandma said in MI but I could only find a Whitefish Bay in WI.

I was informed by my father Frederick Baumack that his Grandfather got into a fight within the family and moved his immediate family away from the vicinity and changed the spelling to Baumack. Need to reach relatives of John C. Seibel (1868-1937)who married Katherina Delk (1871-1939). This line of my ancestors may lead me to the Reimche's, who are my great grandmother's relatives.

My great grandmother, Charlotte Seibel (Charlotte's parents are listed as Ludwig Seibel & Margaretta Reimche), married John Baumbach (son of Conrad Baumbach & Mary Ollenberger).
