Baumgart-Fenske Connection

Anyone heard the name Gustave Julius (G.J) Baumgart? I believe either he or another, Martin August Baumgart, married my GGGrandmother, the former Louise (Louisa) Lieske. She had a son, Hermann Fenske, who was my GGrandfather, who also became a half-brother to Louise and (?) Baumgart's sons.

My goal is to find a connection, so I can finally have someone to ask who may be Hermann Fenske's natural father (Hermann Fenske, b. 1851, Posen, Prussia, d. 1928, Eau Claire, WI).

Any help appreciated.

I am looking for relatives! My father was Leonard Peter Baumgart of Buffalo, NY., one of eight siblings, the others being Stanley, Frank, Eddie, Agnes, Mary, Julia and Celia. Their father (my grandfather) was Andrew Baumgart (married my grandmother, Rose Palczynski). Andrew's brother (my great-uncle) was Michael Baumgart, who was a violinist in the Kaiser's Band/Orchestra...wore a diamond pinky ring. I believe he emmigrated to the US via Ellis Island and settled somewhere in NY. I am probably talking (band and emmigration) in the late 1800's or early 1900's. My father never met his uncle...I would love to know if I have cousins/second cousins to do research with!

She married a man by the name of John ( who rumor has it in our family took her last name ) Yutzen or Yut (not sure on the spelling. Amelia could also be spelled Emilie. She came to the U.S. in 1884 landing in Reading, PA, then moved to Manitowoc, WI and ended up in Necedah, WI. Any information would be helpful.

I don't know if any of this information will be of any use to anyone but me, but here goes.
Charles and Caroline (Schwade) Baumgart sailed from Berlin Germany in the spring of 1878. They arrived at Carpenter Station (Michigan) to be greeted by their oldest son August. It took them 3 weeks to cross the ocean. They spent 2 days on a train heading for Michigan. Their son August met up with Charles and Caroline. There he was reunited with his siblings Amelia 19, Bertha (married Michael Seeger) and young Charles went out west.
You Charles married Hattie Cranberry and together they had 8 children.
John, Gertrude, Alta, Dora, Emma, Arthur, Roy, and Merle.

Bertha Baumgart married Michael Seeger, together they had 4 children, Ann, Myrtle Blanche and Leo. after Michael died she married John Crowley and they had 2 children together, Leona and Ruth.
August married Lena (Madelena) Thom, they had 5 children
Augusta married to Kenneth Severn, no children, Lewis married Blanche Chapel they had 5 children, David (wife unknown) had 3 daughters, Ida married Arthur Davis had 12 children and May unknown information on her.

hi everybody. im looking for info on charles and caroline. they came to the u.s. in 1880 with caroline's father john schulz. they settled in detroit michigan. charles was born in oct ober 1861. caroline was born in may of 1854. they were married in 1880 and had at least 5 children. children were emma, emilia, maria, augusta, and carl. maria(mary) being my g-g-grandma. she was born in july 1886 in michigan. she married a charles palms. any info would be greatly appreciated.

August Baumgart (b. 7 Dec 1819) and Gertrude Matzke (b. 10 Jan 1815) are my great-great-grandparents. I have quite a bit of info from them to present, but do have some blanks. I have no info August's parents or siblings. The only info I have on Gertrude is that her dad's name is Anton and had at least two brothers, Frederick and ?Matthew?.

Looking for Baumgart Ancestors - Platte Co. Nebraska

My Baumgart lineage has extensive roots in the Platte County, Humphrey, Nebraska area. My GGF Carl Baumgart (b. 1870) immigrated to this area in 1890 from Prussia.

He had 11 children with Augusta Kehn: Arthur, Charlie (my GF), Otto, Walter, Clarence, Alvin, Elmer, Ella, Lydia, Clara, and Rose.

My GGGF was Gottfried Baumgart, married to Augusta (no maiden name). Would like to find out if there is any more information on Gottfried (ancestors, children other than Carl, location in Prussia of the Baumgart farm, etc.). I also have information that, as of ~1920, Gottfried had moved to Russia to farm. His wife (Augusta) died in 1903.

I also have relatives in the Humphrey area on the Kallweit side (my GM's maiden name).

Any information would be appreciated.

August would have been the youngest of his brothers he was also the last to come to the states
August left Russia may 11 1886 and arrived in New York
then settled in Nebraska for 20 years then moved to Lind washington if anyone knows of these Baumgarts please let me know i would like to share information with them

Today is April 24, 2000 the 140th birthday of Alvina Bulau Baumgart my Great Grandmother born 4/24/1860. Husband of Adolph Baumgart. They originally lived in or around the Glencoe, Minnesota but settled in Evergreen Township of Becker County Minnesota in 1901. Adolph had a brother Charles married to Bertha Thomas who has a long lineage in the Spruce Grove Township of Becker County, Minnesota. Adolph and Alvina had 5 sons. Otto, Bill, Louis, Herman and Leonard all buried at St. Pauls Lutheran Church Cemetery in Evergreen Township, Becker County, Minnesota along with Adolph and Alvina. Alvina's parents were Frederick and Louise Mielke Bulau. The Bulau's are buried at Buffalo Lake Minnesota. Adolph was born April 4, 1857, My grandfather Otto was born April 18, 1885 and would have been 115 on the 18th. To honor my Great Grandma Baumgarts 140th birthday, please send a gift of any knowledge you have on any Baumgarts around the world to my email regardless of what Baumgart they are. If I can connect the links I will forward back anything I get that may put all of us Baumgart's together. Does anyone have any information on a Joseph F. Baumgart born in Germany who moved to the United States? He was supposed to have participated in the Spanish American War. He married Anna M. Dollenger, also born in Germany. They had a son, John Henry Baumgart, of whom I am descended. Their other children were: George, Joseph, Sophie and Ida. The family seems to have settled in the Maryland area for the most part.

My great grandmother, Ottilie Baumgard arrived in New York from Germany in May 1872. The ship's list states that she departed originally from Naeckel, Brandenburg, Germany. She travelled alone and married Carl G. Rutz and gave birth to her first son Louis Rutz in New Jersey in 1873. On her death certificate her parnets are listed as John Baumgard & Regina ? Does anyone have information on Baumgards from Brandenburg? I am very interested!

I am trying to connect the dots in my family tree. I know that my GGF was Frank Baumgart married to Ila Baptist(b 4/8/1890). Frank died aprox.1954 and Ila died 2/1977 buried in Danville, Il They had four children: Frances(my grandmother), Dorothy, Lillian and Robert.
Frances married Donald Simpson, but died in Sept.1938. They had one child, Donald,b 9/28/1937. Donald was adopted by Frank and Ila Baumgart.
Dorothy married and divorced Raymond Trout. They had one child, Ila Mae.
Lillian married Howard Grady. They had two children, Tom and Suella.
Robert married Ruby Smith. They had four children, Bobette, James, Paul, and MaryAnn.
