my great grandfather domenique bava married chiara... Maiden name unknown. They had 4 children, antonio bava who grew up in italy with relatives when domenique and chiara came to america during mussolini's rule. They had another child that died in italy. When they came to america they had my grandma elizabeth bava and great aunt katherine bava, I believe their legal names may be in italian, elisabette and katerina. Unsure though. Our family is from the region of calabria italy. I would like to find my bava relatives as well as find out my great grandma's surname and history. I have a James Bava with brothers Frank and Ilario (Larry) in Agawam MA in the 1930's. Possibly a sister, Teresa, too.

hmmm...sorry, that genealogist that my brother Chris spoke of was also a shipping agent in Florence. We no longer have his name but he knew everything about Bava's and where we came from etc etc .

Yes, I've had a DNA test. But Giuseppe Bava is not in my paternal or maternal line. He married my Great Aunt. Do you have any information on them. ?

My name is Pat Fallica, I am the daughter of Emil Bava, born in 1898, in New York. I am looking for any relatives of my dad. His Mom was Louisa Padova, and his dad was, Innocenti Bava, of Italy. He had an another daughter Catherine, born about 1922, I would especially like to contact her three children. I believe they might have the Shay last name.

I was born to Gino Octavio Bava who was from the Peidmonte rigion of Italy and moved to California in 1918. I was told while living in Southern Italy that the Bava's were a famous pirate or corsair family from Genoa by a genealogist in Florence.

I'm trying to find information on my GGrandmother. The spelling of the christain and surname may be incorrect - I'm not sure and don't have anyone who knows. She married Nichola Piscoineri and had 4 daughters that I know of, Teresa (dec.), Rosa (my grandmother - dec.) Angela & Miccolina (not sure of spelling). They all lived in Italy somewhere, except my G/Mother who immigrated to Australia from Calabria to live with my family. If my G/Mother had any brothers I don't know about them. I'm hoping that someone from the Bava message board will have links to my relations. Waiting in hope...but still searching.

I am 42 and all of my family on my father's side are living in the West Virginia area. My father's name was Charles, he has 2 living older brothers that I know of named Toney John in Beckley, WVa. I am not quite sure what my Grandfather's name was. I will probably ask my Uncles when I talk to them next. My Uncle Toney is about 75 years old (he is the oldest of the siblings). My father was born in N.Y., one of four chidren in 1898. His birth name was Emilio Bava, parents Innocenti and Louisa Bava. He died at 90 in 1988. He was the youngest. They lived for awhile on Mott Street in New York, near Chinatown. He had two brothers, Louie and John(I believe) and one sister Kate. I just want to know if I have any distant relatives. I live across the country, but N.Y. is where I was born.
