Hi Connie,
I just found your posting as I am doing research in Salt Lake City.

I am also descended from Thomas and Sarah Bawbell and also have Dale's book. I imagine that you have received some info from Moine but I will also have pictures and would like to exchange info with you. I'm descended from Robert's sister Dorothy Mariot Bawbell and live in Portland, OR. I should return home in about a week.

Cordially,

(Cousin) Dick Howard

You must be Melvin's son. We probably have much of the same info on the Bawbells since your grandmother and my mother were 1st cousins in Golden City. Ralph was my grandfather. I have a geneology book that Dale Bawbell printed out. He may have given one to Edith. Blue book. It shows about the only Bawbells left was one family in Calif. I was doing a search on the correct millitary for Robert Bawbell and found this. What fun. I have copies of the letters from Robert and Sara through the civil war, where they met via mail. You do know that story, don't you? My brother and cousin have the original letters. I have letters from them after their kids (Ralph and Irving) started moving to Mo. (the "wilderness") form Ohio. Very interesting family. Be glad to share any info I have with you. My mother was Ada Bawbell Finley. I remember your grandparents very well. Your dad knew my folks.

Very interested in identifying BAWBELL relatives. Surname originates in York County, England, then comes to Upper Canada in 1820's, on to New York in 1830's, then to Ohio, Missouri, California. My grandmother was Edith Bawbell of Golden City, Missouri.
