George A. Bawcum was the son of the late George A. (Almer) and Maudie Frances Smith Bawcum. He was born on April 14, 1931 in Carnegie, OK. He married Letha Ryker in 1969 in Stanton, Texas. He was preceded in death by brothers Ed Jennings, Jim Graham and Bille Wanye Bawcum. Survivors include his wife, daughters Mary Bawcum of ME and Monica Swartz of MA, sisters Jewell Gifford, Lillie Dewitt, Thelma Fennell all of CA, sister Alice Holdbrook of Wichita Falls, son Jerry Lytle of Wichita Falls, brothers Charlie and Lonnie Graham of CA. The Reverend James Harmon, pastor of the Calvary Assembly of God officiated at the funeral service at Hampton Vaughan Crestview on 24 October, 2000. Interment at Crestview Memorial Park followed.
