I'm still new to genealogy research, but I'm working my way backward from my father, and I've tracked back to Levi Baxley. So far, the only record I can find was a listing from his death certificate that listed "Thos. Baxley" as his father. If you have any information on this Levi, or if you think there's match with the Levi Clinton you have, let me know. I have a list of decendants from my Levi that might be helpful to you if we have a match.
