The heading on this is wrong. Dunedin is a town in New Zealand - named after Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland. Dunedin means "New Edinburgh" - and there is no such town in Scotland.
Please also note that Baxter is a very common name in Scotland and they were found all over the country in the 18th and 19th Centuries. The name means "baker" and that was a common trade.
Hope this is helpful,
Doreen.
