I'm looking for descendants of Richard and Alice Baybutt who emigrated to the US in 1888 from Radcliffe, Bury, Lancashire, England, where Richard has a street named after him - Baybutt Street. Richard was the brother of my GG Grandfather Thomas and son of my GGG Grandfather John who came from the farming village of Mawdesley near Chorley. At the 1900 Census Richard and Alice had 6 children Elizabeth Ellen, Herbert, Alice J, Ethel M, Gertrude R, and Richard Staziker Baybutt. At the 1910 Census, there was also a Mary E Baybutt age 22. I have most of the family story researched and written up from the 1790's starting with Richard Babet who married Ellen Kellett, whose son was John, my GGG grandfather up to 1901 and further with BMD info.My branch of the family is written up, up to the 1980's. I would love to share our family story with our long-lost American cousins.
