Hi, My mother in law is Joyce Degruise Plaisance. Her mother was Josephine Baye Degruise married to Adonis Degruise. I am trying to find information for her. I had a family search done by the Houma Thib. diocese archive director and he could not find anything on the Bayes name. So, any information you have would be great.

The SSDI has a record for a Clemy Loupe that *could* be Lovinia & Clemy's son, don't know if that is any help...

Looking for information on Arthur BAYE. He was married to Malvina (don't know last name). They had a daughter named Lovinia who married Clemy LOUPE (LOUPS) on 17 Jun 1901.

Any information will be helpful. Sorry I don't know any more than that.

I know nothing about her other than she married Arthur LEDET and had a daughter named either Lovincia or Lovinscia who was born in 10 Jan 1879. Any information would be of help! Thanks!

Hi John,

I just stumbled across your posting. I suspect that the Bayes of Orillia are descendants of Honoré Philippe Bailly de Messein, b 1779 in Varennes Quebec. He apparently had children in Orillia from Julia Sansoucy. Can you confirm this? Do you know whether Bailly and Sansoucy were married?

Looking for information on the Bayé - Bailley - Baillie family of Orillia, Simcoe, Ontario, and Tiny Twp., Simcoe, Ontario. They were of French origin. The name was spelled Bailley (and sometimes Baillie) in the early records and Baye by the late 1800s.
