Hello
I am not related to the Bayley family at all but am involved in my own CAPON family history of Suffolk mainly.
The Capon's were farmers and also had shares in ships - mainly the coastal trading colliers and suchlike.
I have been trying over the years to find out about the BAYLEYS shipbuilders of Ipswich/Woodbridge and have found a little bit of info
Do the names JABEZ Bayley and HENRY Bayley come into anyone's research? HENRY Bayley was senior managing director of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company (born at Ipswich 1826). He was killed in a horse-carriage accident in Sidcup, Kent in 1887.
Do you have connections to this family. If so I would like to exchange information as I have some shipping researchers
that would welcome the family information too.

Kind regards
Tony Brown
