BAYLEY - MD

Donna - My great grandmother was Anna/Hannah Bayley b. 1843 Cornwall d. 1899 Iowa - she married John Husband in 1865 in St. Austell, Cornwall, her parents were Richard Bayley and Jane (maybe Littleton) her siblings were: Richard, Wm, Mary, Samuel, Emma, and Joseph. We have a watch that belonged to her brother Samuel who gave it to her for "save keeping" but he never returned from sea. Our Husband family lived briefly in PA? and lived for almost 10 years in Allegheny Co. MD before moving to Iowa ca 1875. We have an old photo of a man and boy with Bailey written across it - photographer was in Lonaconing Md where our family lived."
"Bayley" is the correct spelling per England. Read Message #16 on message board - wonder if this might be my Richards family? Perhaps your Samuel in another generation - do any of the same names appear in your family? Sure hope we might help each other!!
